On March 2nd, Earth Venture Capital, together with New Energy Nexus Vietnam and BLOCK71 Saigon welcomed representatives from Innovate UK, Britcharm and UK companies under the "Energy Catalyst Vietnam 2023". The event aimed to give these UK companies insights of the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem, which would enable them to identify opportunities and local partners to bring their energy solutions to the Vietnam market.
The event provided an opportunity for knowledge sharing, networking, and partnership formation, with the goal of accelerating innovation to meet SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy. Delegates from UK companies had the chance to gain insights into Vietnam's clean energy market through presentations by industry experts.
One of the highlights of the event was Mr. Tien Nguyen's presentation on impact investment for combatting climate change. Mr. Tien Nguyen, General Partner of Earth Venture Capital, shared insights into the potential for clean energy investment in Vietnam. He discussed the country's vast renewable energy resources, emerging market, and supportive government policies, making it an attractive destination for climate change investors.
Tien Nguyen emphasized Earth Venture Capital's commitment to investing in innovative and sustainable solutions that can improve lives and benefit the planet. He also highlighted the importance of building strategic partnerships and uncovering new insights to accelerate the innovation needed to meet SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy, which aligns with the Energy Catalyst program's mission.
Other presentations included General Director of New Energy Nexus Vietnam - Ms. Thao Tran's discussion on typical support activities provided by an accelerator in the field of clean energy, and the current context of Vietnam's clean energy ecosystem.
Mr. Duc Dang, Programme Head of BLOCK71 SAIGON, BECAMEX IDC, also presented on the innovative ecosystem at Becamex IDC Binh Duong and other support activities for entrepreneurship at BLOCK71 SAIGON.
The event provided a platform for UK and Vietnamese companies to exchange knowledge, explore potential partnerships, and pave the way for future collaboration. This aligns with Earth Venture Capital's mission of investing in innovative and sustainable solutions for the betterment of our planet.
