AI Volunteer Matching Program - Climate Change AI Helps Empower NGO and Academic Lab Projects

Updated: Sep 20, 2023

The Role of AI in Tackling The Climate Crisis

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool in the fight against climate change, with applications across a range of sectors including energy, agriculture, transportation, and disaster response. By analyzing large datasets and identifying patterns and trends, AI can help to optimize energy use, integrate renewable energy sources, improve crop yields, reduce emissions from transportation, and enhance disaster preparedness. In this way, AI has the potential to play a significant role in mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change and contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future for all.

AI Volunteer Matching

Climate Change AI is offering an AI volunteer matching program that places machine learning and data science experts in NGO or academic labs to leverage the power of AI in tackling climate change.

Please see below for more information about the program and how to apply for it.

Many tech-savvy community members are increasingly interested in using their machine learning and data science skills to tackle climate change but lack opportunities to do so. On the other hand, many NGOs and academic labs have existing data that could be useful for climate applications but lack staff with technical expertise. That’s why we’re setting up a platform to match volunteers with organizations.
