EARTH-FIRST VISION
The global underwater inspection market is booming, with a valuation of $3 billion in 2021 and rapid growth fueled by green energy expansion. Offshore wind farms alone generated a $40-80M market opportunity in 2022, while floating solar and ship hull inspections added $20-35M and $100M, respectively.
BeeX’s autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are unlocking new frontiers in sustainable energy and maritime operations by reducing costs, risks, and emissions. With high barriers to entry and groundbreaking technology, BeeX is at the forefront of underwater innovation, supporting the global shift to greener, smarter solutions.
THE PROBLEM
Underwater inspections are stuck in the past—dangerous, expensive, and inefficient. Each vessel-based inspection puts 50 lives at risk, costs $100,000 per day, and emits 700 tonnes of CO2. The process is unsustainable and unscalable. Industries relying on manual divers and clunky support vessels face safety hazards and inflated costs, all while failing to meet the growing demand for clean energy infrastructure. It's clear: the status quo can’t keep up with modern challenges in energy, shipping, and infrastructure.
SOLUTIONS
BeeX’s autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) transform inspections into a safer, greener, and more efficient process. Our AUVs slash personnel risks by over 50% and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 90%. They’re twice as fast as human divers and cut inspection costs by up to 50% for offshore wind farms and 20% for floating solar farms. Combining speed, precision, and safety, BeeX provides scalable, next-gen solutions to power the underwater industries of tomorrow—without compromise.
THEIR DNAs
Grace Chia, BeeX’s CEO, has a proven track record in marine tech sales, growing revenues from zero to six figures in under three years. CTO Goh Eng brings over a decade of expertise in autonomous robotics and user-centric engineering. Together, BeeX’s co-founders, with more than 10 years of experience in subsea and defense, lead a tight-knit team—60% of whom have worked together for over a decade.
On the advisory board, Chye Poh Chua, a maritime industry veteran with 35+ years of experience, founder of Shipfocus, and partner at Quest Ventures, provides invaluable industry insight.
